Marta Zygmunt – pochodząca z Sosnowca współczesna artystka, malarka, rysowniczka. Od 2019 roku skupia się głównie w swojej twórczości na malarstwie olejnym, tworząc cykle wielkoformatowych lub miniaturowych ekspresyjnych obrazów wykorzystując elementy figuratywne i portrety. Zajmuje się również projektowaniem witraży i fotografią.
Jest absolwentką ASP we Wrocławiu, wydziału projektowania szkła artystycznego, a także absolwentką Uniwersytetu im. J. Długosza w Częstochowie, wydziału malarstwa.
Bardzo ważnym aspektem jej twórczości jest kobiecość, płeć, akceptacja ciała, przemijanie. Tematyka jej obrazów wynika z autentycznych, bardzo osobistych przeżyć. Jej obrazy są jak pryzmaty, które zamieniają niematerialne emocje malarki na wizualną płaszczyznę. Wykorzystuje do tego bardzo bogatą technikę malarską opierająca się na poszukiwaniu koloru jako nadrzędnej wartości. Nowe sposoby kreacji, zmaganie się z fizyczną stroną obrazu pozwala artystce aktualizować wciąż na nowo pytania o sens i wartości uniwersalne dla sztuki, życia i ludzi.

Marta Zygmunt – a contemporary artist, painter and illustrator from Sosnowiec, Poland. As of 2019, she focuses mainly on oil painting in her work, creating series of large-format or miniature expressive paintings using figurative elements and portraits. She also works in stained glass design and photography.
She is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, department of artistic glass design, and a graduate of J. Długosz University in Częstochowa, department of painting.
A very important aspect of her work is femininity, gender, acceptance of the body, passing. The subject matter of her paintings stems from authentic, very personal experiences. Her paintings are like prisms that convert the painter’s intangible emotions into a visual plane. For this, she uses a very rich painting technique based on the search for color as an overriding value. New ways of creation, grappling with the physical side of the painting allows the artist to update again and again questions about the meaning and values universal to art, life and people.
Her works can be seen in exhibitions in Poland and around the world.

- 2020 – specjalne wyróżnienie kuratora Mili Pinigin za obraz “Papierowa Jaskółka” podczas wystawy “Forks in the road” organizowanej przez Gallery People & Painting w Nowym Jorku
- 2000 – pierwsza nagroda Prezydenta Miasta Dzierżoniowa podczas pleneru malarskiego “Kolory Miasta”
- 1999 – 2004 nagroda rektora ASP we Wrocławiu
- 2023 – Grand Prix of the Second Spring Salon of Art at Operis Artis in Antonin.
- 2020 – special mention by curator Mila Pinigin for the painting “Paper Swallow” during the exhibition “Forks in the road” organized by Gallery People & Painting in New York.
- 2000 – first prize of the President of the City of Dzierżoniów during the plein-air painting event “Colors of the City”
- 1999 – 2004 award of the Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw
